Description Welp, today I was bored and drew all of the past D9's up until now.
I also kinda added a little bit of the style that they were/would have been drawn in... Not too much, though. =P (Razz)

So, I'ma talk about em o:
HERE WE GO:

2008 - I was young and wanted "a super original fursona". She totally had a very depressing back story and was of course, covered in [so many] neon colors. She was apparently a winged [dragon] cat/wolf/fox hybrid that was mostly cat..? This is probably a result of poor anatomy, therefore not making the creature look entirely like a cat. I guess the randomness and pointlessness of the design could reflect immaturity from when I was that age. It kinda hurts your eyes if you stare at it too much lol

I don't really see how her design itself is inspiring. It's really just random and too bright. I actually remember my thought process when designing her. It was literally "what color haven't I used yet" and "I need another unique pattern for this leg now" And of course I wanted her to look cool and edgy so her green has those weird wave shapes and the tip of the claw on her wings was literally supposed to look like it was blood tipped, like it had stabbed someone

2009 - I got offended by people calling D9 a "Sparklecat" where, in fact, she was. So, I changed almost all of her marking colors to "natural colors" such as brown and orange, except for her neon green, and the tail-spikes, and I removed the front leg markings almost completely. I figured that if she wasn't covered in unnatural colors, she wouldn't be a sparklecat. I was quite mistaken on the subject. XD Silly me~

2010 - I got tired of D9's bright colors and numerous markings, so I removed basically all of her leg markings, added a brown paw to match that of my "Stray Kitty Design" [which has been made up even more long ago than 2008 D9]. The bright neon green started to actually hurt my eyes after a while, so I washed it out a bit to supposedly symbolize moss? I dunno. This is also around when I actually started to think about how to make my cats look like cats... Skeleton-wise. I then decided to create a Feline basilisk, which, stated in that reference, is "The type of basilisk in which can disguise itself as any creature desired." This was made up based on the Dragonology basilisk, though crossed with a cat. I will probably make a sheet on Feline Basilisks later.

2011 - I kept most of the colors, but changed all spikes into feathers. Spikes aren't cuddly enough. :P (Lick) I also changed her base color to a more creamy white than pure white, because it started hurting my eyes. I changed her wings to shadow, and added orange to her hair [because I dyed my bangs around that time]. I changed her eyes to resemble mine more, by having a red/orange/brown [I dunno how to describe it.. It changes color..] ring around the pupil, and rimming them with a darker brown-green.

2012 - I kept most of 2011 D9, but tweaked some of the kept colors, and changed all feathers to orange with a red-purple gradient. The rainbow feathers got so annoying to color, and I started to love purple. It's my favorite color now. Heart I also changed her head fur/hair to look more like mine in reality, along with fixing up her eyes a little bit. I also added black gloves that I do wear almost every day, along with the black heart choker. :) (Smile) I'm pretty satisfied with this D9, but who knows, it may change sometime next year~

2015 Denine  - I changed her to purple. She remained my fursona for a while so that was really the only change made to her, until eventually I switched to using Doe instead. D9/Denine is still a very main and special character though, of course!
