I was about to start working on a tutorial when I realized I never actually uploaded this one.So yeah, basically it took me a while to figure out the networking thing in Open Canvas. But I wish I had figured it out sooner 'cause it friggin' rules my world now, or something.
Hopefully this will enlighten some people and change your lives as much as it has changed mine 8DLinks:

I know this is old, but my friend and I really can't get this to work. Dx It keeps giving us a /?????????1006 error message. No matter what we try. Dx I could really use some help. We've spent hours trying to get this going

You ever figure it out? It worked between me and a friend then I got a router change and it started doing this. I read the kana on the error and it said socket error as well.

I think I figured it out, but it's been so long since asking I may have forgotten. Try making hamachi a home connection in windows, as opposed to "work" or "public"

Same here. I read that it works better when you connect with your own network in Hamachi.

You're welcome! ^^ I'm glad it helped :] I remember how frustrating it was to get it working, haha. Also I noticed they've changed the Hamachi site/program a lot since I made this, so it's nice to know that it still works ^^

I don't understand why you shouldn't have a static IP address for this. If anything a dynamic IP makes less sense to have. Since a static IP doesn't change, it would make sense for that to be what you use for your host IP, so that the client's computer always knows what it is.

Yeah, the concept does seem weird. All I know is that back when I did OCs, I did a lot of research about how to make it work, and that's what one article said, and it made sense because I could always connect to my friends who had a dynamic IP address and never to anyone with the static. :\ If you find any more information, though, I'd love to hear it :]

Also, did you create a network and have your friend join it with the ID and password you created? Or vice versa? You need to be in the same Hamachi Network... I guess I didn't mention that in the tutorial.. I'm not sure how obvious it is.

We messed with it all night, neither of our connections worked. We were in the networks and everything. We also got the old Hamachi and it still wouldn't work. We just ended up OCing with a friend who can somehow connect without Hamachi.

I just got it from the link that's in the description D: Looks like they've updated it a bit. I haven't used it in a while so I'm not sure if it works the same but it looooks pretty similar.. hmm :/ If I end up using it again, I'll let you know what I find.

I tried it but all that happens is everything my friend draws comes up as nonsensical scribbles.

Yes, it can host up to 4 people :] You can customize this on the Network Preference tab when you open the NetworkWindow

yea but I cant find this one anywhere, the only version I can find is in a mix of english and japanese, and my pressure on my tablet doesnt work for it, which is weird cause my tablet works on every other programs.

well its in english but I still cant get any pressure sensitivity in it, its weird, my pressure tablet works with everything but oC. I cant find out why.
