The Letter — Description
A few years after Lily's death. It was her birthday on the 30th January. Severus has written a letter and visits her grave some days later to avoid meeting anyone he knows.

Re-watching "Truly Madly Deeply" a few months ago it hit me how much the poem recited near the end by "Jamie" (incidentally played by Alan Rickman) to "Nina" (Juliet Stevenson) fits the Severus/Lily situation. Last time I saw the film was clearly before HP book 7 was out. Now it did give me ideas for a fanart which led to a terrific collaboration with the amazing and inimitable
, who is a wonderful Severus.

We both dedicate "The Letter" to , who are an endless inspiration to us.
