Portal remote — Description

A Portal Remote is a fictional handheld device that controls the opening and closing of a portal between locations or dimensions.
Based on your description, it works like this:
Lever: The main control on the side of the remote.
Pull the lever down: Opens the portal.
Pull the lever up: Closes the portal.
Buttons: Located on the right side of the remote. These could be used for functions such as:
Selecting a destination.
Adjusting the portal's size.
Activating or deactivating safety features.
Saving favorite portal locations.
Powering the device on or off.
In a story, the Portal Remote could create a glowing portal that remains open until the lever is pulled back up, allowing characters to travel between worlds, planets, or dimensions. It acts as a portable controller for safely operating the portal.
