Description
So among the comics I've been binging lately, Doctor Strange has been one of my targets... and the more I discover the printed one from different old runs, the more I feel the movie underwhelms... BUT we shall get to that !Here's my favorite Dr Strange character... though most of you already knew that.
* I am convinced Mads Mikkelsen should've played Dormammu in human shape ( a form he took when he and his sister were exiled from their birthplace to better influence the former ruler of the Dark Dimension..).
* His middle/usual form that pays homage to his Faltinian origins and earned a rightful spot in MvC3.
* The last one happens when Dormy is cut from his mystical energy... which makes up the vast majority of his body... wanna see how weak he is in that state ? benjaminherman.files.wordpress…
It's gonna be interesting to sum up my thoughts on the good Doctor... and also insult his fanbase in my own special way like I did Iron Man's... who's ready for this ?!

Seems to be a bit of a trend to make dark lords burn. Sauron and all of corrupted Maia spirits in Tolkiens have pitch black skin that burns like fire and course who could forget about the fiery depiction of Hades in Disneys Hercules.

I suppose it is linked to the destructive facet of fire in general.
Did Tolkien describe Sauron in any way physically ? I thought he was beautiful pre-corruption but I am not familiar with the details...

It is said that Sauron killed Gil-Galad with his black hand that burned like fire. Also he is a corrupted Maia spirit so I would expect him to not look to different to other corrupted Maia spirits which are what the Balrogs are.

I'm down for a Doctor Strange retrospective. It's funny, but the good Doctor doesn't get ongoings as often as other A-List heroes.

In all seriousness, I love hearing what you have to say about the various superhero teams of the Marvel and DC universes and the individual members therein, whether it be high praise of their optimal versions or colorful disdain of their modern incarnations. Plus, I like seeing whether or not I own any of the issues you're likely to talk about (so far I own the first two volumes of Mark Waid's run and pieces of Joshua Williamson's run).
