Description
Well, you knew a negative/darker/anti Batman was coming, so I went with the one I consdier the absolute best in that category; Jean-Paul Valley during "Knightsend".
Jean-Paul as Azrabats in the final leg of the whole saga is basically early Golden Age Batman on crack & roid rage ! I am also among those who see him as a measure for the way Bruce Wayne is written by the by; considering how Azrabats is basically an admonishment for how not to write Batman. IF I find THIS Jean-Paul more likable/heroic than an iteration of Bruce, then said iteration is a failure (guess how many later takes on Bruce went in that direction by the by... though I will make an exception for ASBAR's Goddamn Batman because damn him & his lemonade.).
With that said, I am saddened by how mistreated my boy Jean-Paul Valley was after the crummy "Murderer-Fugitive" saga. Last issue of his solo & it's down to limbo, no mention, no memorial, no regret ? Fuck you DC.
Anyway, in honor of my dude, here is to him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvjCRphuV_w
