JUST ANOTHER HOTT VAMP TO ADD TO THE COLLECTION EH? XD

For those of you that may have wanted to know the idea behind the character I shall briefly explain. I wanted to make a villain as a mascot for my band Vae Victis. We are a power/heavy metal group in the vein of Manowar and Iron Maiden so I wanted something medieval looking that invoked a powerful and dark image. Also I had noticed that many bands today were favouring the good over evil with such characters as Hector the templar mascot for hammerfall and the various elves and fairys on many power metal albums. So me being awkward as usual, I wanted something slightly different. Myself and Destinyfall had been discussing the idea of her drawing a villain for Vae Victis but at that time I was unsure of what I wanted. Eventually I decided to look through some of my favourite villains in various forms of fiction and I took inspiration from them. The main players being Kain (Legacy of Kain), Prince Arthas (Warcraft 3 ), Luca Blight (Suikoden 2) and Malus Darkblade (The Malus Darkblade Chronicles). I basically decided to throw my own ideas and the inspiration from the characters into a melting pot and come up with an image (As you can see Kain is the strongest influence as he is my favourite game character. Something that any Kain fans out there should recognise from the bands name). Anyway I told Destiny fall that I wanted a brooding, sinister and downright evil vampire warlord that looked like a cross between a necromancer (yes the type that raises the dead not "raises" the dead ) and a dark knight. I also told her that I would like a bit of Kain thrown into his appearance and that I wanted it to look a bit like something that Manowar would cook up (best band ever >_> . Anyhow she created this amazing masterpiece and she even added her own ideas to his armour which just made it even more awesome than my original design. It was only after I saw the picture that I came up with a name for him and I think Virgil Durant suits this guy perfectly. Anyway all I can say about this most awesome picture is that it is the finest work of art I have ever seen and I am damn proud to bear this character as Vae Victis mascot. Thank you Destinyfall.
