Mapusaurus — Description

Mapusaurus is a large theropod dinosaur that lived in the Early Cretaceous period in what is now Argentina. They are part of a category of theropods called Mega Theropod, which are theropod dinosaurs that are the biggest ones representing their family line and have a body mass of 5,000 kilograms (five metric tons) or more. Like most other carcharodontosaurids, Mapusaurus has teeth that are built for slashing and cutting prey instead of crushing their prey like T-rex. Despite being a large predator, even Mapusaurs gets out classed in size to one of the biggest sauropods it lived alongside with; the Argentinosaurus. But even with the size difference, Mapusaurus has one minor advantage against this colossal herbivore; pack hunting behavior! Bones of Mapusaurus have been found together, hinting at pack behavior not often seen in large theropods.
While Mapusaurus will eventually get over shadowed by their cousins Carchardontosaurus and Giganotosaurus, it's still an impressive animal that deserves some attention.

"This giant was brought back through normal means of doing it, without the aid of the Portal Gateway. Two specimens were created and have made their home on the far northern parts of the island. While they haven't done much harm to the other inhabitants yet, I feel their hunting instincts will kick in at some point. And there are plenty of large targets for it to choose from. So, caution must be taken into account to prevent major damage to this fragile ecosystem."
