Arkham Inmates — Description
I'd been wanting to draw my five favourite (dorky) Batman villains together for a long time, but only recently did I figure out how to do it: by doodling them as a group in the Arkham Asylum cafeteria!
In the foreground: Scarecrow, Mad Hatter and Riddler around a table, with the Bookworm looking enviously up at them from the floor. (Even though those three aren't nearly as well-known as the Joker, Harley Quinn or even the Penguin, I have a feeling that Bookworm would kill to have their notoriety.)
In the background: Li'l ol' Music Meister, trying to work up the courage to even get close to them. Also, many lazily drawn and mildly out of place motivational posters.
It was kind of a challenge to draw these dudes in a way that made them recognizeable as comic book characters, but also made them seem like regular people. Whether I succeeded or not is kind of up in the air. One thing's for sure, Meister looks a little strange, since I drew him in a cartoony style rather than the pseudo-realistic style that I used on the other inmates. Oh well.
