This photograph was taken at Al-Kiswa Factory in Makkah, 2005. It shows the making of the most important feature of Al Ka’aba, which is the embroidered calligraphy and ornaments made with gold and silver wires. First, they start by shaping the letters with wool threads then arranging them in different levels, up to 2.5 cm. Then they finally embroider on it the golden and silver wires.Thanks to the hard working hands of our talented craftsmen who created this masterpiece and showed us the beauty of the Arabic calligraphy.
