DECIPHER VS JACK KENNEDY (DCIU/DAYSHIFT AT FREDDYS)
CONNECTIONS:
The main character of well-extended shitpost universes that first appear to be dumb stuff without a true story or continuity. Yet that’s quite far from how it evolved.
They would have different and calm lives in a own-worldliness sense (Jack merely has a mundane life with his sister as orphans; Decipher, while not as mundane, still peacefully lived in the Void with a friend…). Until the intervention of a godlike being, who put them into completely different and so, starting their travel (Jack [after his sister was murdered] would be revived by Fredbear to help the victims of Henry; and Decipher made a deal with an un identified god so he did obtain an entire universe of his like)
This new life would arrive with a list of wacky characters they would have REALLY different relations with each.
Mainly because they notably have a very similar personality. Generally cynical view of life with tones of severe sadism, but still a snarky side that likes to show up. And obviously, they crash out a lot (this slot slightly depends on what you choose in your DsaF play tho)
Their new life circumstances granted them extraordinary abilities (Decipher as a void entity has stuff like shapeshift and immunity to normal needs; Jack, aside from being a walking corpse, he can manipulate the game timelines). Also they’re surprisingly well skilled fighters.
They would join a straight insane headquarter as one of the first things in their new start (Freddy Fazbender's Pepperonerie; The DA Crew), in which they would do a schedule of weird bullshit dealing with a person who opposes them in most stuff (Steven; Organic, and Goodint and Firxen, etc…)
But they have developed relations deeper than that. Like a tragic little girl who has a very familiar bond with (Dee Kennedy/The Puppet, who is Jack’s sister; And Pibby, who was adopted by Decipher). and a more complicated one, someone who was twisted by a dimensional antagonic force, yet finds comfort with our protagonist (Bun Bun and Dave)
Not all relations are good tho, just like the main evil of their story, who is an interdimensional evil-doer, who has been slowly haunting the plot and attacks with torments and guilt (Henry Miller; Rob.)
Of course, their appearance are just two massive internet culture icons (Sans and William Afton) with a new distinguishable visual characteristic (The MLG shades and the orange skin color)
Both of their fictional identities have big ties to the concept of being a physical manifestation (Decipher is often called an Avatar; Jack is otherwise… literally the avatar for us, the player.)
It has been referenced many times that Decipher has Jack’s voice, and an alternative version of Jack (and Dave) are canon characters in the DAIU that Decipher once met.
