KAI VS TOA TAHU (NINJAGO/BIONICLE)
CONNECTIONS:
The core connections between Kai and Tahu are that both are hot-headed, red clad, fire-wielding heroic leads from flagship LEGO original intellectual properties (Ninjago and BIONICLE, respectively). In addition:
Both are guided and trained by wise, ancient mentors (Sensei Wu and Turaga Vakama, respectively) on a quest to gather golden relics of immense power (the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu and the Kanohi Masks of Power, respectively) to defeat a dark overlord threatening their world (Lord Garmadon and Makuta Teridax, respectively).
Both serve as the central leaders of their respective heroic teams (The Ninja and the Toa Mata/Nuva, respectively), both possessing fiery tempers that frequently clash with their companions before they learn true humility and discipline.
Both are forced to check their egos after being humbled by a young, troublemaking latecomer to the team who ascends to a unique level of power beyond a standard Ninja or Toa, ultimately fulfilling a grand destiny to strike down the ultimate evil (Lloyd Garmadon becoming the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master and Takanuva becoming the Toa of Light, respectively).
Both bond with majestic elemental creatures throughout their journeys, using them as mounts in battle to combat forces of darkness.
Both undergo multiple physical transformations and upgrades to their gear over the course of their narratives, evolving from basic elemental warriors into heavily armored powerhouses equipped with futuristic gear and mechs.
Both participate in sprawling, multi-chapter sagas that begin as simple, mythic hero's journeys before spiraling out into surprisingly deep, convoluted lore filled with ancient prophecies, hidden realms, and cosmic threats rarely seen in standard LEGO themes

Episode made this MU my favorite for both by a longshot AND it made me really like Tahu as a character and know more on both series and their lore easier, so hell yeah!
