Description
My modern redesign attempt at Rohan from the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. It was said that Mystic Knights is one of the inspirations of my favorite Tokusatsu Hero: GARO series, so I tried to give my shot at Mystic Knights and explore the series, here
I must say that I'm quite impressed by what they did with this series. Despite the rather slow pace compared to other Tokusatsu shows, Mystic Knights could be considered as the "Western Saint Seiya" as well as the progenitor of GARO series
Had it not been bogged down by its intended target audience and perhaps with the right people who fully understand Tokusatsu and know what they're doing, I believe Mystic Knights could've been one of the household Western Tokusatsu franchise comparable to GARO lol

Once an apprentice to an alchemist, Rohan stands as the blazing heart of the Mystic Knights — passionate, loyal, and unyielding. His optimism isn’t blind faith; it’s a flame tempered by tragedy. Rohan was not chosen by destiny, but by conviction — chosen because he keeps choosing to believe, even when hope seems lost.
As a boy, Rohan watched his village reduced to ashes in the first onslaught of the Blight, monstrous beings unleashed by the sorcery of Queen Maeve and the Kingdom of Temra. Where others fell to despair, Rohan forged his resolve in the very fire that destroyed his home. He fights not for vengeance, but for a vow:
“No one else will be consumed by the same flames that took everything from me.”
Raised within the Kingdom of Kells, Rohan grew up hearing his master Cathbad’s tales of the legendary Mystic Knights — warriors who drew power from the ancient realm of Tir Na Nog, protectors of balance between magic and man. Those stories lit a fire within him, guiding him toward service, compassion, and courage.
When Temra’s armies and their Blight Spawn descended upon Kells in a sudden strike, Rohan’s faith became his final weapon. With the kingdom’s defenses in ruins, he called upon the ancient Sword of Kells, and in that moment of pure resolve, the fire answered. The flames that once took everything from him became his armor, transforming him into the Mystic Fire Knight.
Wreathed in living flame, Rohan drove back the Blight and forced Maeve’s forces into retreat. In recognition of his valor, King Conchobar entrusted him with a sacred quest — to seek out the Power of Draganta, a force said to end the Blight forever. Joined by Angus, Deirdre, and Ivar, Rohan now walks the path of fire — not as a chosen one of fate, but as a man who chose to rise from the ashes and ignite hope in others.
