I always like this Riddler. Better than Paul Dano. To me, Frank Gorshin, John Astin, Jim Carrey, and John Glover are my favorite Riddlers.

I Would Say There Is Some Mischief To Dano’s Riddler. Maybe Not In The Comical Frank Gorshin Or Jim Carrey Sense But There Is Hints Of The Former. Heck His Voice Even Gradually Gets Higher In His Villain Speech I Almost Expect Him To Cackle Like A Cartoon Character. :)

I like Batman 89, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin, because they're great films to me. I also like Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises, because they're awesome films to me.

Tim Burton loved The Killing Joke. Joel Schumacher has always been a Batman fan, since he loved Batman Year One. Christopher Nolan is also a fan of Batman, since he loved Batman The Man Who Falls. Burton, Daniel Waters, Tim Flattery, Chris O'Donnell, Michelle Pfeiffer, Alicia Silverstone, Jim Carrey, and Akiva Goldsman watched Batman 66 when they're kids. Schumacher, Nolan, Jack Nicholson, Danny DeVito, Tommy Lee Jones, Mark Hamill, Sam Hamm, Lee and Janet Scott Batchler, Robin Williams, and David S. Goyer read the Batman comics when they're kids. Val Kilmer visited the set of Batman 66 back when he's a kid, because his mother worked as a production assistant. Arnold Schwarzenegger went to the Batman Returns premiere, since he's friends with DeVito.

The thing about Robin Williams is that Warner Bros., director Tim Burton, and producer Jon Peters offer him The Joker first. He was to do it, but he found out that they used him as bait to trick Jack Nicholson into the role, and that upsets Williams. Then Joel Schumacher called up Williams and he said to him "Play The Riddler". And Williams said to Schumacher, "I loved to, Joel." Lee and Janet Scott Batchler wrote The Riddler with Robin Williams in mind. In the first two drafts for Batman Forever, they gave Riddler the name of Lyle Heckondorf, and his company was not NygmaTech, it was Hecktech. And Joel had an idea of Lyle stalking Bruce Wayne and Chase Meridian at the circus where Dick Grayson's family were killed by Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face, and Lyle stole clothes from the circus performing leprechaun, which was the basis of The Riddler outfit. Williams read the script and he loved it. His management said to Warner Bros., "If Michael Keaton gets $15 million for the percentage of the gross and the percentage of the merchandising, we'll be asking for our client too?" WB said, "Alright, forget the percentage of the gross, we're spending $30 million on the two actors, and we don't film the movie until September. Let's think about recasting." And they made an offer to Jim Carrey that we get, and Williams found out about it when he read it in the trades.
