Bryce 15 minute material project - optical illusion moving spots - a tutorial by David BrinnenA Bryce 7.1 Pro tutorial aimed at people who are moderately well versed in Bryce and wish to expand their skills. The tutorial covers the making of an optical illusion material using the rainbow texture component (see this video [link] ), with the focus on using the DTE (deep texture editor). It is fairly fast paced, because the aim was to complete the project in fifteen minutes. Some additional text is included in the video, you may have to pause the video to read it.
Better viewed in HD - some of the controls in Bryce are quite fiddly and small.

Amazing. It moves slowly clockwise. I'm sure the effect would be improved if the texture on the rings at center or the rings themselves are rotated 180 degrees so the mapping would be in the opposite direction to the background; it should appear more dynamic in the peripheral vision. Great tutorials David, thank you and congratulations.

Yup, that's it. Against my better judgement I've made another. Seems to work best with complimentary colours for some reason.
