For my first trip in critique world i will choose this artwork. I will tell you what i like, and what i don't like in this art.

LIKE: So, first of all this i great piece of manipulation, great blending, depth of field, colors are awesome for this piece and that blood in the middle is just fantastic. Mist fiting perfectly on this photo, give that chilly felling, like as it should be in Game of Thrones.

DISLIKE: This part i don't like but nevermind i adore almost everything in this piece so this shouldn't be hard. My personal opinion is that you need more vignette in this Ghost art, but seeing you other stuff, i assume you don't like vignetting that much and that work on your pieces. That is all and i like that sword in the background, it fit nicely in this.

I actually love this <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

I think that the use of typography is to add that little something in images is great and can create really evocative ideas.

I consider that the technique elements in terms of perspective and blending when it comes to at least the sword statue and landscape work very well together.

I also feel that the colour palette is appropriate and that those elements feel as part of the one image. In fact the addition of a profile of an animal in a kind of 'out on the prowl' pose creates a very interesting dynamic. I instantly want to know what the wolf is looking at and how this scene is going to play out.

My only slight criticism is that the sword and statue feel to me like they need reworking in terms of perspective. Although the wolf is expertly incorporated (in terms of blending) those other two elements feel slightly flat. Especially because the wolf is almost pointing to the statue thus drawing attention to it. I would try a combination of layer effects to see if they can be brought up some ...

As I mentioned earlier I love the typography and I can see that the blood elements are very deliberate including the wolfs "red eye". Having said that because the font is so small relative to the rest of the image the overall effect detracts from the composition. I consider that using a much bolder statement here would suit this image better.

To explain this concept some more... imagine looking at this image as a movie poster , I would want t either instantly know the title OR be taken aback by the imagery (that make me want to know the title). In this image however because of the imbalance I mentioned, the typography and blood spatter although deliberate and working well as an element together, they none the less feel disjointed from the rest of the piece (regardless of how appropriate the palette is). I suppose all I am saying is that if 'they are meant to be' disjointed they should stand out much more in my opinion!

Overall however I find this image very very interesting and I hope these comments above will help give you a different perspective.
