In this page we learn about how Johnny was during his youth. How he could actually experience more than one emotion!! Like joy and happiness, two emotions that he can't express anymore!! Instead he's stuck feeling one, kinda like some sort of machine in long need of repair. It's surprisingly sad to see how Johnny's changed back then to now. From genuinely Happy and carefree...to depressed and melancholic. (Heh, guess in a way, that's two emotions..Amirite???) Don't get me wrong, While losing someone close to him like Katrina, was very tramautic and saddening. I'm not saying that's the only major cause of the way he is now. Infact, there's plenty of things to make him like this. The life of a paranormal investigator isn't an easy task!!!! The things he has to see/do on a daily basis...is ALOT to take in!!! Like: Possessions, Exorcisms, Spirits that could tear him apart, crazy French ghost girls, Inanimate objects, Hauntings, and just the overall concept understanding Death itself. I think doing a job like this for years..would change anyone!! All of these are factors for the way that poor Johnny is now..sad isn't it?? But I mean..these things are best left In the past, and shouldn't be refelected on. Something that Johnny knows all too well!!
But..enough of that!!! XDD Isn't it neat how when it talks about Johnny's past, it's actually in color unlike the rest of the story. And notice how the darkness ends up taking up all the color in the last panel..really makes ya think!!! Anyway..I hope you liked this page, sorry for me rambling, stuff like this really gets me thinking, poor Johnny!!

He's been through it all..
(Venturiantale has a surprising amount of lore..)
