Eldritch force — Description
So, aeons ago, an eldritch destructive force was sealed away. This terror had brought down kingdoms and empires, merciless towards anyone it came across. It had grown more and more powerful with time, but eventually it was beaten, though it could not be destroyed. Societies collapsed, and the sealed force was forgotten, only able to escape when the stars were right.

That happened six years ago. See, in the long millennia that it was locked away, it matured. The force had been a near-mindless destruction-driven calamity, but along the years, it grew a mind and a personality. In the time since it broke out from its prison, it has explored the world, disguising itself as mortals to learn how the world works. Though it has only a fraction of the strength it once held, it is still formidable, and with the intelligence that it now holds, it is much better able to apply its power to the task at hand.

Pictured here is something that is as close to a true form as it has. It is a mass of shiny, smooth darkness, and though it is currently in the shape of a woman, it does not have a default shape. It might as well be a man, or somewhere in between. Most of the time, though, it will look like just another mortal, utterly indistinguishable from a human, elf, or whatever it imitates at the time, in both look and touch.

It has only revealed its true nature to very few people.
