Wonder Woman Redesign — Description

In light of DC's move to update Wonder Woman's iconic costume into the 21st century, some of my closest friends challenged me to make my own redesign.

I've read much of what the majority of fans thought of Jim Lee's modernization of Wonder Woman, this of course in accordance with J. Michael Straczynski's direction for the character. I also have watched and read some of Jim Lee's train of thought about his design.

The problem with trying to come up with a fresh take on such an iconic character is that so many of us have already embedded in our psyche Wonder Woman's look. I personally believe no artist can ever have a design worthy of the fans' approval. The same goes for Superman and Batman.

But, like I stated above, its a challenge. So, using some input from the reactions on what works and what does not, using the parameters from DC, and adding my own personal touch, this is what I came up with.

Now before you tear apart the design, please be mindful of these:

I'm not associated in any way with DC Comics, so I was not asked or being paid by them to do this.
I did this as a challenge. Instead of critiquing Jim Lee's work, I opted to put myself into his shoes. Believe me, its not easy.
No one can ever replace that iconic costume.

So, instead of a critique, why not challenge yourself? Re-design Wonder Woman's costume. See what you can come up with.
