After an incident by a greedy company wanting to create an irresistible product, a new race of monsters come alive to wipe out all life on earth. Unkillable by conventional weapons, these monsters can burst into action from any body of water, be it as big as the ocean or as small as a cup of water, hence their name: The Splash. Using the same cells the Splash are comprised of, Liquicells, the government put a group of scientists to work on creating a counter to the Splash, allowing any human to gain the power to harm and even kill a Splash, this power was the Rider system known as the Sodriver and their complementary Ride Pop Cans/Bottles. But this power was volatile, resulting in only a select few to have the capability to transform. What do these few subjects have in common? A wicked heart. Criminals and low-lifes. Time was running out and soon, a taskforce comprised of rejects and death row inmates was formed to fight back against the Splash with the promise of freedom, known as "The Pop Riders!"
Now only one question remains: Will they truly protect us?
