i just love when i shoot a performance ... they're usually not concerts, per se, rather ... they're performances ...there are always people who've congregated at the front of the stage ... and they give me dirty looks when i invade ...
all geared-the-fuck-up.
i just say, "sorry, it's my job."
and if they're mean, "sorry ... it's my job ... go fuck yourself."
yeah ... i know ... mean ...
like i give a fuck.
you see that ... that kind of attitude is a filter ...
so i don't have to deal with as much bullshit in this town.
this town full of those full of shit.
they all want to be actors and actresses.
and whatevers.
they all want "new headshots."
made this photo at the most odd event ... helio ... some myspace enabled mobile phone service ... introducing some new handheld.
doesn't beat a blackberry.
there were a lot of scientologists there.
i mean ... like packed.
then again, i don't hate those people.
they're always nice to me.
but ... no thank you ... i don't need a free personality test.
wasn't really into beck.

Besides your obvious ability in photography, do you know what I admire most about you? The fact that you love what you do so much that it is probably the most influential parts that makes you as good as you are! Loving what you do automatically makes sure that you know you are doing what you are supposed to do in life...that makes you a very fortunate man. It also make us fortunate because be get to see this! You are one of only a handful of those that I can say works at this level and has this opportunity!

Good photograph, that lens is amazing, I have the 85mm 1.8 and I simply love a wide aperture paired with that focal length, I can't imagine how great that L lens is at 1.2.
Beck is impossible skinnier as time goes by...

a color shot? nice shot artistically. subject is just another joe to me, but artistically this is a great shot and nicely done. nice crispness to the subject and shallow dof all around. i love how the one shoulder goes out on the one side.

yeah, nice... i really always keep on dreaming about shooting performances, concerts... or promo photos, band photos etc... of my favourite artists
but Beck isn't one of them. tho he kicks some ass in a certain way. i respect him way more than, say, paul mcfuckincartney. fuck beatles. go stones. and even better - go queens of the stone age
