Villa — Description
This is a house in beautiful Rechnitz, Austria, where I lived for two years. We called the house "Villa."

I'm pretty proud of how this came out, because the photograph it came from was blotchy, badly faded, low contrast, and had whatever deterioration happens when an exposed film sits undeveloped for eight years.

I almost kept it looking as a photograph, but I could get away with a lot more [necessary] modification if it looked like a sketch instead. Later, I was happy to discover that it looked more personal and warm as a sketch.

This image now sits in an 8 X 10 frame next to my computer. I love looking at it.

I have to give credit to my sister, Renata Marris, for the tedious work of tweaking chemicals, filters, and whatever else she did in the photo lab to make the photo come out as best she could. She did a good job.
