Wraith
Rachelle Hansen, 27, is a self-taught magician who discovered an ancient spellbook in her grandmother’s attic when she was a child. Fascinated by its secrets, she spent years studying magic and eventually became a highly skilled arcane investigator, relying on intelligence, strategy, and preparation rather than brute force. Quiet and sometimes socially awkward, Rachelle can become completely absorbed whenever something captures her curiosity, but she refuses to let anyone underestimate her. One of the world’s greatest protectors, she fights to inspire those who are afraid to stand up for themselves while protecting the people she considers family.
Shatterhide
Harry Atteberry, 29, is a laid-back comic-store employee who was cursed by Addwaitya, forcing him to share his body with the ancient entity known as Shatterhide. Although the circumstances surrounding the curse remain complicated, Harry knows that Rachelle was ultimately responsible for what happened to him. Rather than allowing it to destroy their friendship, the two have spent years learning to live with the consequences together. Harry has gradually come to accept Shatterhide, and Shatterhide has learned to accept Harry, though their conflicting personalities still lead to plenty of arguments. With little family of his own, Harry considers Rachelle his closest friend and the closest thing he has to family.
