Miranda vs Duke — Description

EDIT: Description: Her name is Miranda as in Miranda Rights and Due Process. As you can probably guess, she is a punk rock samurai who blames the Government for most of her life's misfortune and all around unhappiness. She is not prone to acting on emotion but that is because in their world, emotion effects your power and strength. For instance, you swing a sword in their world, nothing happens. Then you get pissed and swing it, you take out a freaking wall.

She is 5'9", 20, with green eyes, long spiked orange and black hair on one side of her head, a sign of her civil disobedience, and neatly combed blonde hair on the other side, a sign of her innocence and pure good will. She likes hard mind numbing music of any kind. Anything that can block out the calamity of the outside world. Miranda also likes simple pleasures, taking in an afternoon breeze, pizza after a hard day of school and sex. Yes thats right, sex. It is cheaper than the drugs that her friends seem to always be on and lasts alot longer without any of the crappy after effects. She is careful with her partners, uses protection, and never gets attached for fear of clinginess and losing yet another person she loves. Miranda doesn't take anyones crap and looks at her friends differently than anyone else. She pities the position that the monster of a machine government has put them in without any hope of success or happiness. She fights for them.

Duke, her bald arch nemisis is also one of my OCs. He is so called government scum as she believes. What he is in fact is an experiment created by the government to exploit and research this new power which seems to only be given through blood at birth like our dear Miranda here. She does not have an easy life and as stated before, blames authority and organized religion. She discovered her power at a farely late stage compared to most carriers of the gene, and although latent, hers is of the highest caliber. Where we could probably only take out a wall like I gave the example above, she can take out the whole building.

Duke is of a similar nature but more cavalier with his powers, he openly engages his rage to help his fighting and pummel through city block after block in contest with Miranda. However, realizing that this power has the ability to hurt others, she collectively does not use it so easily. Her troubled and abused childhood has taught her that anyone can swing a punch, its how well you take it that matters and she can take em. However, Miranda chooses to dodge and keep a cool head to think clearly in a fight and still come out despite her obvious power handicap.
