Regalia — Description
Prince Sephiroth Jenova from ongoing fanfic epic, Midgar: the Soap . The whole thing is in-character crack, which is awesome.

This is the most 'painting' I've done in Sai to date. It shows in larger views, but I'm still pleased with the end results. Still can't understand how other digital painters can just *stroke* *stroke* *stroke* *EPIC PICTURE*, without keeping their sketch lines, but I guess I'll get there someday. And hey, I finally found out what the Gold Armlet looks like! (in the original game, when Seph is in your Nibelheim party and you look at his stats, he has three things equipped: Masamune, a Touph Ring and a Gold Armlet. A Platinum Armlet would've made more sense to me, but I wasn't consulted.)

I'm thinking that the robe has a hood that can be pulled up if one were wearing the frog over the chest rather than the shoulder. I'd really like to play with more pictures of this *ahem* outfit. I love how the frog turned out, and there's just something about the trim that's fun to think about. I've thought about trying portraits of Seph's brother and sister in similar attire, but I don't know when I'd get to them.

The background is comprised of the mountains leading into Chechislan, and the lush greenery that is the modern Cetran homelands. The walls are just part of a palace courtyard.
