Defender Class Corvette space — Description
The version I went with, not exactly like the one in the video game but close enough. This was my favorite of the player ships from TOP, though the Imperial agent and Sith ships were pretty good, I didn't like the smuggler, trooper, or bounty hunter ships nearly as much. Wookiepedia says it is a Rendilli ship though RPG.org has it as a Corellian design (it looks much more like Corellian ships than Rendilli designs to me and C2-N2 in the video game describes it as a Corellian Defender-class Light Corvette). The sizes also disagree with Wookiepedia listing 94 meters and RPGGamer.org listing 54 meaters (half the Wookiepedia entry). I would guess the Wookiepedia entry is correct on the size since ships in the game were huge, the Rendilli manufacturing listing must have come from one of the alternate stories made featuring the ship. Statistically the RPGGamer listing puts it on par with a powerful stock light freighter and would probably fit into most typical games where the group shares a sturdy space transport to use for missions.

Description: Developed at the height of the Great War, the Defender was custom-built for the Jedi Order. The Jedi Council commissioned the starship after determining that Republic military vessels were not well-suited to the Jedi's more specialized missions. The Defender's exterior design is based on the consumer model corvette, but it has been outfitted with countless customized upgrades. The starship includes two levels. The formal upper level features diplomatic meeting rooms and an elegant conference room at the ship's center. The conference room contains a unique Holocom system for secure communications with the Jedi Council. The Defender's lower level includes a cargo hold, a medical bay, and a small private space in which the Jedi can retreat for meditation. Despite the Jedi Order's commitment to peace, the ship is battle-ready. If circumstances warrant, the Defender is engineered with high-powered shields and twin turbo lasers to engage the enemy.
