A Fallen Spectrobe — Description
"Hey, come on, the exit's just a little bit farther!.."
The young Spectrobe Master spoke with concern
"You have to get up! You're tougher than that!.."
No response.
To an unaware outsider, it almost appeared as though the young man was kneeling beside a pile of rocks, boulders, and sand, just with sharper horns sticking out of them, but to the young master, this pile was a fallen ally.
A Sprectrobe known as Dongiga.
The two had been battling their way through legions of Krawl that populated the Table Top Mountains, the damaging Aurora that lingered there making travel difficult and hazardous, not that the young master had considered that before rushing on in.
Throwing caution to the wind, he wore no Corona Element suit, and relied solely upon his trusty partner Dongiga, a Spectrobe of the Corona element he rationalized could handle his brash decision-making.
To some degree, he wasn't wrong, Dongiga had made short work of every Krawl in their way, but had finally hit its limit, their last battle having been one that finally broke the sturdy Spectrobe.
As Dongiga lay awkwardly upon its side, its eyes fading into the darkness of their sockets, the young Spectrobe Master came to realize his own folly, his own carelessness had just cost him a valuable partner.
Rallen looked down upon the bare cave floor, a dark look spreading over his face.
"I'm sorry partner..."
He choked out
...before promptly prepping his jetpack to race back to the safety of his ship, he had to make it out alive now, not just for the sake of Nanairo, but now so that his beloved friend wouldn't have gone in vain.

As Rallen dashed away, a faint light emerged from the lifeless Spectrobe, and, all at once, its hefty bulk was reduced to a tiny, perfect rock, in a brilliant flash, lying upon the floor, was a Dongopod, the fossilized form of Dongor, the first stage of life for Dongiga, before it sank quietly into the earth, awaiting the day it could serve another daring Spectrobe Master...

Sorry about my absence here, I've been... busy. Yeah, I'll go with that.
But yeah, the Spectrobes community was having a little contest, simple thing really, just a creative piece of your favorite Spectrobe, and if anyone knows me in that community, my favorite has been and pretty much always will be the tons-of-fun that is Dongiga.
Big, bulky, tough Spectrobe, who hits like a truck
Very powerful in the first game actually.
I wanted a more somber image, so I drew a fallen Dongiga, with the series' main character, Rallen, kneeling beside it.
Not to worry too much though, Spectrobes usually turn back into their fossilized form upon their expiration, so this loss may yet have a happier twist in store for the fallen 'trobe.
a fun drawing, compared to my older drawings of Dongiga, I'm better at different positions and angles, but I feel my linework and 'presence' in these pieces has dipped a little bit since my older works, ah well, something to work back to I guess.
