So yeah, I had to endure this situation until we sent a message far enough up the chain of command to get our boss removed.

Oh boy, I hope it doesn't come to that on my end. There was supposed to be a new bid on the 11th but it just keeps getting pushed back.
On the plus side, I was able to get a part time job and stabilize my finances. Or they will be as soon as HR finishes getting me in the system so paychecks arrive. Week three and waiting.

I know the feeling. Our hours are moving to an 12 hour ordeal. Β Β Hours are not the problem.....itβs folks not showing up for their appointment and usually lacking the required paperwork. Then they complain even when the instructions tell them exactly what to bring.

Lol got to love people, they show up with a handful of nothing and expect you to be able to conjure the missing documents out of thin air. And if you don't they get upset with you. The twelve hour work day can also be a pain, it's no so bad if you can break up the day, but those last four hours just drag by. >.<
The one up side for me is that packages don't talk back, and so for five hours each day I can lose myself in lifting heavy things and putting them back down.

We have an hour allowed for fitness training. Weights and rowing. Β Good stuff. My day spent mostly watching camera feeds and making appearances in the lobby to insure office security.

That sounds amazing - I sourly with our area had a gym, even a small one. As I would likely hit it up every lunch as a means to unwind.
Alas, all the gyms are closed again, at least for the four week period. I have learned to enjoy rowing, but my heart still goes out to the abdominal crunch machines of death. There are three of these nightmarish contraptions and I would frequent them daily.
Ah, staring at monitors, sounds fun for the first few hours. Then ones mind begins to want to wander.

When I wander I pull up Call of Duty and blow up things. Break time from the security feed. Β Β I have them all interlinked on several monitors. Being right down the hall I can easily hear raised voices which trigger a response to walk out and be visible. Β Β Command presence takes over and all parties settle down......sometime.π

This is the case I face right now, I have a paying job that is not terrible. It gives me a five hour workout each day. The biggest issue is the hours, as the shift I have is right in the center if the center of when I try and sleep. T.T

I wish. I managed to land a second seasonal job for the month of December. And they even gave me a healthy sign on bonus if I work the whole month.
The problem, the hours are less than pleasant. And put right in the middle of the night. So on any given day I get five to four hours of sleep each night.
This has all but destroyed my creativity and sort of backed me into the corners here. Still trying to figure out how to spin this one.

Well there is a silver lining, it all ends with December. This is just a seasonal job and then I will be free again. Thank goodness.

Indeed, Ms. Fortune is a lady I have been chasing after for almost two, three years now. Though I fear Lady Luck has all but scorned me, though she still sends a card now and again just to keep the channels open.
