Description Axel/Roxas moment. I'm not putting a mature content on it coz THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING!

this is a commission to go with the part of the fic ^_^

"He didn't even notice he had leaned in to breathe in Axel's hair smell. Henna. It was so typical of his vain redhead that Roxas smiled against the top of Axel's head.
The redhead had circled his waist with his arms without saying a word, and, leaned against him like boneless, was breathing slowly, like on the verge of sleeping. He felt so content, so relaxed, so complete. It felt good and bad at the same time. It felt nice, relaxed, right; like his place was between those arms, breathing that strange mix of clean clothes' scent and Roxas' skin's, while lean hands untangled non existent knots in his hair.

If he cared a bit more, he would feel a helpless sap for that last thought.

And it stung. It stung because it would be over soon. Because that magic wouldn't happen again, because he would have to be content, in the future, with the sleepy cuddling the blond conceded when he had had a drink too much. Because his friend was comforting him for his lack of roots, for the fact that he was alone in the world, because he didn't have a family. Nothing of his light touches meant what Axel ached to hear him say. Do you want me, kiddo? Can I dare to hope to make you mine? Will you... love me?
No. Roxas wouldn't answer. He would pretend he hadn't heard a word and keep petting his hair, saying, with his silence, much more than what he could say with words.

It felt good, and bad at the same time. Like finally realizing you too have a heart, just in time to learn what it means to suffer. Like realizing that you have found what he you're always been waiting for, and searching frantically for your whole life, and finding out it is behind a unbreakable glass, locked with a padlock you cannot open. A padlock you don't have a key for.

Like realizing you are in love, and feeling something inside your chest ache needily at the idea he will never be yours.

It felt good, and it felt bad. Like the fingers brushing his hair away from his face and caressing his face. Like the blue, impossibly blue eyes staring down in his own with that uncertain light of anxiety and anticipation in them. And those fingers sliding uncertainly down, down his face, the arch of his forehead, the bridge of his nose, and under. Over his lips.

It was happiness, and endless pain. Like the feeling of their lips touching, a moment later, when Axel felt his heart drop in his shoes and jump up in his throat and decided he needed to do it. Like the moment Roxas didn't move away when Axel pulled him closer and leaned in to finally seal their lips together.
Happiness and endless pain, knowing that it would be just a Christmas miracle, and everything would be over at the next sunrise."
