Ellison's Cryptids: Skvader — Description

The skvader is a whimsical creature from Swedish folklore—a hybrid of a European hare and a wood grouse. It was originally conceived as part of a tall hunting tale told by Håkan Dahlmark in the early 20th century. Later, taxidermist Rudolf Granberg brought the legend to life by constructing a physical specimen in 1918, which is now displayed at the museum at Norra Berget in Sundsvall, Sweden.
