So despite the substantial financial gain she would have gotten if she accepted, she decided to decline. Her contact seemed a bit disappointed at first, but then jovially told her that there was no hurry anyway, she could do some contemplating and they'd still be willing to hire her if she changed her mind. She thanked him, got up, made her way to the door and left the office. Her contact sat there and waited patiently, as the sounds of an scuffle emerged from behind the door Dr. Slade had just stepped through, and then, approximately a minute later, she was carried back in, bound and gagged, and placed on a footstool. "Well, I forgot to tell you that I'd prefer if you did your contemplating in here, doctor", he said. "Because that way, if you decide to decline, we can just leave the ropes and gag in place and keep you that way. Which would also be a bit easier on our expenses."
