Description This seemed like a great idea! Though I didn't quiet follow the format I was supposed to.
Keep reading for more information on the artists cited.

from Left to Right, top down:

01. Bill Watterson is just so amazing! The author of the fantabulous Calvin and Hobbes had an incredible dedication to his craft. If you have a chance I highly recommend the documentary Dear, Mr. Watterson.

02.  BearlyFeline has so much life and personality in her pieces, you can tell she really loves the animals she draws. Her character Bri is one of my favorites on DA, she just looks so fluffy!
03.  Sharkie19 has a great, cartoony style that I will never get over. Her mermaid designs are amazing and her fanart is truly an homage to the originals.

04. Doctor Who has a huge fanbase, so I'm sure most of you have heard about it, so I'll talk more about how it inspires me. This show has no bounds beyond those created by the characters and their personalities. It has captivated viewers for over 50 years while staying pretty true to itself. Plus it can evoke such emotions in the audience. If any of my stories can accomplish half of what this show has, I can die happy and proud.

05. MahoHaku is great on all kinds of levels. Her closed species, feathercloaks, are in my top 5, she has amazing pixels and characters, and I NEED MORE of her comic, Cirque du Clandestine.

06. Hiromu Arakawa created Full Metal Alchemist, which is at the least my favorite manga, but possibly my favorite comic ever. The story is incredible, emotional, deep, and hilarious all in one. If I keep going I'll never stop about this author, so let's continue.

07. Griffsnuff also excels at different levels, but I especially love her animations and full rendered pieces. Her personality is also a big chunk of the reason she's an inspiration, she don't take crap and has a great sense of humor.
08. :iconcanusalbus: CanisAlbus has a style that I absolutely love. (Well, actually, a couple styles.) All of her pieces have the sense of a story behind them and I'll often stare at them, trying to figure it out.
09. SinCommonStitches makes my all time favorite species, the guardians. They have such amazing designs that I've honestly spent hours just clicking through them all. Sin is also the type of artist to share with the community, and offers advice to those that need it.

10. Caravaggio was an artist in of the Renaissance that was more than a little f*d up in the head. His works are dark and real, completely different from most religious paintings of the time (or ever really). He can get so much story and emotion in a single painting.

11. Yuumei has one of the most engaging styles I've ever seen. Her colors and compositions immediately draw you in, even though every panel of her comics.
12. Yangu is a friend that has been an inspiration since High School. She can draw the cutest darn things, but can whip out some creepy-cool pieces when she wants, she's also growing into an amazing animator.

13. Avatar: The Last Airbender inspires me for so many reasons: the animation is incredible, and exactly what I would love to do; the story is a great tale filled with amazing characters taking place in a fantastic world. It's so obvious that the authors knew exactly where the story was going and stuck to the script so to speak.

14. Micheal Chrichton first captivated me as a child when I viewed the movie adaptation of Jurrasic Park. Of course I wouldn't know this until I read the book in 5th grade. Now I've read almost of of his works and loved them all, and Lost World is my favorite book. (Seriously SOOOOOOOOOO much better than the movie, which I still liked a lot, so check it out.)

15. Sarah Jolley, does have a DA here: but I'd check out her website for more: thepropertyofhate.com . Anyways. I love this artist. Her stories (comics and written) are absolutely fantastic. They truly pull you into them; The Property of Hate has all but taken over my life.
16. Mattbarley's sketches are super interesting and posses awesome detail. I love his traditional graphite works and his sketchdumps which show you can have a lot of diversity, yet always be identifiable. (Also I'm a big fan of the giant ears on almost of of his creatures :3)
17. Basakward is a marvelous animator with such a fun style. I love his little top-hat character, and I can watch God Forgot About Me over and over again. (I also jut realized he's an alum from my school!)

18. Sir Henry Landseer was another classic artist most famous in Britain. His works are namely filled with dogs, but other wildlife subjects also graced his canvas. Anyhoo, his dogs have such character and his style is absolutely beautiful, the lighting and texture something to aspire to.
