Description
An new species called Lemode. I wanted to show some of the passes I went through before a got a final design. The one with the start beside it is the final design.
My major inspiration for these guys are the Pokémon Metang, Carbink, and Golett. I wanted make a rock/geode golem alien, so here it is. I’ll talk a bit about them.
- They come from planet Vugaboo.
- They are all gender-less. Their pronouns depend on what each indivdual wants. Usually you can just use they/them and it’s fine.
- They don’t have any fluids inside them. They don’t cry tears, bleed, or sweat.
- They also can’t eat or drink. They don’t pee or poop either.
- They get all their energy from just sleeping. They sleep like rocks.
- They can have 2-6 limbs. Each limb can have 2-6 fingers.
- Their sizes are varied. They range from 5-9 feet tall.
- They can’t have sex. At all. They reproduce differently. The parents (usually 2-3 parents), take a piece of their geode crystal from around their neck and bury it in the dirt. The dirt can either be in near their home, at a child growing yard, or in a large pot in their home. They wait about a year or so, and then their child will wait for the parents or dig their way out of the ground. The child can’t wander too far, though.
- The child growing yard usually have farmers looking after it, so the newborn Lemode won’t get too far.
- The crystals around their neck is how they express emotions, other than talking. Brighter glows are generally emotions such as happiness, anger, or surprise. Faint glows are usually sadness/crying and fatigue.
The character there is a new character named Beryllium, but I’ll talk about him in the next batch of doodles.
