Description
I was really keen to give this a try - almost-completely transparent crystals that you can hopefully still see by virtue of their shine and a bit of subtle colour in their depths. I think this might look a bit too transparent, though, and perhaps not in the spirit of how I usually draw.
I don't know - what do you all think? The crystals in each are rendered using different layer types, and they're in alphabetical order because I was trying to put this set of 4 together at 9pm yesterday.
'Add' makes for bright, luminous-looking crystals, 'Colour' adds a touch of warmth but makes them *really* subtle, 'Colour Burn' is somewhere in the middle and lets them stay dark without luminosity, and 'Normal' is what they look like without any tinkering. There are plenty more layer types, of course, but this is a sample of possibilities.
Any thoughts? Looking at them now, I'm thinking that a subtle bit of uniform grey as a background to the crystals might have helped.
