The Hot Rains Location - 5 — Description

Maybe calling this creature a beast of burden is misleading, but technically it's right. This is a bristletail jawagora and it's just come from a dip in the sea, where giant clam larvae got caught up in its bristles. But they're not going to be out of the water for long: jawagoras like to graze, and the semi-aquatic species are no exception - it'll go back in long before the larvae dry out, and then the larvae will swim free in their new environment!

The bristletails foraged and hunted up- and down-stream for thousands of years. Steadily they introduced the clam larvae further and further up the volcano, much like this one's doing now, until they reached the peak.

⭐ Planned Ret-Cons ⭐
None at the moment. LuckyMrUnlucky based the bristletail jawagora off Gij 's sketchwork of the bristletail jawagora and gave them colours: green feathers and beautiful orange eyes. I think I'm happy with that!

⭐ What is Kaleida? ⭐
Kaleida is a worldbuilding project without a storyline or individual characters. Most of my clients come to me with stories and characters and treat worldbuilding as an after-thought, so I'm doing the opposite and focusing solely on my worldbuilding.
