Nice Dog... — Description
This is for a NYE prequel/midquel in the works, and it's mostly about GIR and how he feels about Tallest Red and Purple spilling the truth of his and Zim's mission. Those of you who've followed up with the series know that he does not handle it any better than Zim. He starts acting differently, more aware, more sensitive, more broken. One of the ways he expresses this is by having these extreme fits and blackouts in which he malfunctions, snapping into duty/defense mode and becoming awfully violent.
Realistically speaking— Sure, it's likely that GIR would have easily shrugged off the news, but you have to consider the fact that in his right mind, GIR still believed he was on an important mission with Zim, as made clear in GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff. He was even willing to kill incompetent Zim "for the good of the mission." So, imagine what that side of GIR would think about being told there was no mission to accomplish at all, that he's quite literally trash, that his existence as a SIR Unit is pointless. Imagine what he'd think about being built from scraps and garbage by The Almighty Tallest themselves just for laughs.
