Without dragons... — Description
"Life is boring."

At least that's how it is for Hiccup Horrendous Haddock. Not that he knows this, since life has never been filled with dragons. Ever. Obviously. He lives in the 21st century, he's smart enough to realize those awesome mythological creatures are just that. Myths. Not real. Never had been.

The knowledge doesn't stop him from feeling extremely bored, even as he scours Tumblr and reddit for stories about dragons. He'd much rather be watching them. Talking to them. Not that they're real. Dragons are not real. Weirdo...

Fishlegs obviously doesn't understand him enough to understand his feelings. The little geek was living happily, able to fill out journal after journal with his cherished poetry. His life had never been boring to him.

Hiccup Horredous Haddock III and Fishlegs (No-Name) belong to Cressida Cowell. Though, technically, this is Hiccup Haddock IV, and this Fishlegs has a surname!! Oh joy, a modern AU featuring reincarnations rather than an actual 4th Hiccup. What has become of the dragons, anyway!?

(This fanfiction has not been written. Not even a little bit. At least not by me. Just...enjoy the idea.)
