Thanks, I don't use gimp anymore but I can roughly try to help you. Use the flip tool (or the rotate tool) so the shadow is facing the way you wanted, and then move it so it lines up to the hooves? If that makes any sense.

I never had much luck using the perspective script-fu because of the settings and the lack of preview.
But I will try your settings on my next project requiring a shadow..
