Generic Irony — Description

Hope you guys like 'em both!

Art class homework assignment where we have to use both sides of a sheet of paper for the drawing(s). I haven't done the other side yet (partial fear of ruining the paper since it isn't specifically tailored for watercolors (but it does say it can be used for watercolor but it's not that heavyweight, just sketchbook paper) but my concept was dealing with the two sides of the fox.

I feel like there are a lot of stereotypes or images regarding certain animals (or people, etc) that lead people to just get it in their heads that ____ means ____.

Foxes are so frequently depicted as cunning and sly creatures but in reality, they can be so sweet (from what I've seen, I haven't had much actual contact with them though)!

But anyway, this is the dark side of the fox ad then I'll just do a regular colored fox on the other side!

This looks a bit like a wolf e____e

But haha, yeahhh generic idea. I just went with my comfort zone againnnn (yay lol)

You can see where the title comes from...(djskf it was pretty random but..)

The irony that foxes are actually really charming little guys (disregarding times when they raid chicken coops, JK lol XD) and then the generic-ness of this piece.

But yea! This is more of a speedpaint but it's my latest full work in a while so haha, hope you like it!

I took a picture of this so I had to edit the colors to the best of my ability to match the original --looks more or less like it!

Media: Canson Multimedia (Sketchbook) paper 98lb/160 g (9"x 12"), Pentel (Ink) Pens, (possibly some Micron or Copic lining pens also), M. Graham gouache (black, white, red), Sapphire Flat Brush, Artist's Loft Rake Brush, Princeton detail brushes, Pentel Sunburst White Gel Pen, (and I also intially used a little bit of my brown watercolor from my Winsor & Newton watercolor set but decided against it after like one light flat wash lol xD) Total Time: 2 hours (estimate)
