*** Update #4 ***

Wheeew!! I've been spending a bunch of hours straight on this piece, lmao. But it is all worth it!!

Ok, so, I finished the rest of the horse's shading, completed the second wing, and I tried a brand new technique to make the mane and tail. I absolutely love how it turned out!!! And I added the blue streaks so that the eyes seem more like they belong, lmao.

This really deserves a background, so once I get some sleep, I will start working on a background, lol. I actually already have something in mind, lol.

I've been listening to Adam Lambert's version of Mad World for the latest week of American Idol on almost repeat all day, lmao. I've been on the fence over Adam so far in the competition, but I loved his last performance, lmao.

Anyway, back to the painting, lmao. So, as you can see, I am almost done with the horse's shading and I started on a wing. I really had a personal breakthrough with PS today by figuring out a smooth way to get some wonderful details and effects to each feather, lmao. Took me about 2 hours to do just that much, but it was SOOOOO worth it, LMAO. I hope you guys like!

Ok, I'm on a roll now, lmao. I started working my way down the neck and own the front. I'm also altering my original lines a little in some places as I go. Like, the strong highlighted side just about erased all of the line there. I'm pretty sure that's the most I'm going to do with my lines, just try to blend them in nicely.

Oh, and I changed the eye color, lol. I like this vibrant blue, actually, lol.

I started to work on the head. Well, more or less finished the head, lmao. I put a lot of detail into the eyes, hehe. I was debating if I should have made them a completely different color, but I just couldn't think what color of eyes I could use that wouldn't stand out. I might play around with the PS Hue/Sat levels to toy with different eye colors, lmao.

I'm trying to show the muzzle is black and the legs will be half black (with the one "silver" sock), but also the tips of the ears are supposed to be black, too.

Hehe, I'm still learning.

Have I mentioned that I love purple? lmao

I wanted to give the horse a more natural style of markings, but a fantasy color. Oh, and the "white" markings on this picture will HOPEFULLY give the appearance of silver by the time I'm done, lmao.

I love black wings, lol. But, I hate seeing a pegasus with solid-color wings different from that of the horse because they just make the wings look like they are just glued on, lol. So, I gave the wings a line of purple feathers,

I haven't decided yet if I want to keep the lines or not, but I put so much work into the lines that I'd hate to erase them all. But, I know that if I do keep the lines, I'll be strategically erasing certain lines, like the solid "line" for an eye to give a more realistic eye.
