Wolf Riders: Last Plea — Description
Devastated, Charles frantically looked around for any escape route he could have missed. However, once the certainty of there being none sunk in, he looked at the now approaching Bearat in helpless terror. The boy beside him just watching in an almost delirious daze; the situation he was in not completely dawning on him the same as it was for Charles.
The Bearat snarled and snapped it’s narrow long fanged jaws, its large club-like paws sinking heavily down into the mud like they were heavy weights. They were doomed. Death at this point was imminent, which was unfortunately a certainty when it came to trying to evade a Bearat. There was no escape. They were doomed.

Just as the Bearat lunged with a roar, Charles staggered backwards, grabbing onto the boy’s dark scarf and tugged him down into the mud with him. And then Charles threw his arms around the boy, hugging him close as their death was upon them. He gave one last prayer in his mind for a miracle to come and save the both of them and let them live for another day; but it seemed like all hope had already been snuffed out long before…
