Some families can have high pressure in them which is the case for Python hence the disowning. He was the first born son and the only male child so that's even more pressure. I think at some point as a kid, I had in want to be a novel writer but his father didn't see any potential in that sort of career and hence was going to force him to be a scholar. But since Python is now disowned, he writes about his adventures in the circus when he has time. (Haha more random backstory living in my head).

I think my other OC Illusion has murdered parents but there's no falling in love with trees. The circus saved her and hence why she's with them at the moment and being trained to fight. Some of the other members like Pyro and the Twins have had normal upbringings, nothing tragic. So it really is a bunch of wild people in a circus for different reasons.

(Yes, yes! I'd love Python to be my side of choice for art trade - note all my art trades go on Instagram and not on dA so I'll chat via DM about it over there. If you don't mind, it'll be uploaded once done on Instagram and probably not here but I'll link a good scan of it through stash or something )

Aaah yes I remember reading about your OC shipping on Instagram Head-dwelling backstories are the best, there's always so much detail! Haha oh god sorry, I feel like in my last comment I went on an OC backstory bashing crusade, for no known reason :I Because I really am not that bothered about OC stories, as long as the owners of them are happy and having fun (and your OCs are great, I love their designs)- put it this way, I love Naruto and all of its tragic backstory no jutsu, so I don't know why I had such a stick up my arse rant the other day!

Ranting is healthy! I swear we are not so secretly having two different conversations on two different sites because us ladies like to be difficult.
Don't be sorry because seriously, I rather people say what they want to say and too much tragic backstory in one story is like -that's a shocking coincidence that all your parents died when you were children hmmmmm-

Although when I think about everyone loves putting their characters in tragic events like myself hooohah. My character Tigress has one but it's not like her family died (more like her younger brother got killed because of a raid and she tried to fight them back when she was like twelve *not like she was strong enough* and got slashed herself on the back of her neck). Ahem. I apologise, tangents get a hold of me all the time. Man I need someone to talk to about OCs to get this out of my system.

Ohhh I love to rant, I think most of my conversations with friends are rants (clearly I have a lot of pent up rage :I ) Haha! Having many conversations over different sites/apps is a personal hobby and a talent of mine No I love a good tangent and OC backstory! It brings them to life more, like they're clearly not just a drawing on a page, they're a character that's vividly alive in someone's head. It's nice! You're welcome to tell me all about your OCs And when you post an OC drawing I always like to read the description and learn a little about them

Join the rant club. We are insane, crazy but still very polite (well, that's up to question but I say ranting, the reasonable kind, is healthy for my mental well-being). Ohhhh love that talent of yours. It is brilliant!
Well if you can stop me shipping all my OC ships, that would be kindly (or unkindly) appreciated. Or I will bomb my Instagram with OC sketches, with the same OCs, over and over again. I swear I've given up on uploading messy or original stuff on dA due to lack of exposure etc (which can be really unmotivating because you want to know what people think of your original stuff and not be solely fanart).
That circus has been breathing in my mind for 10 years or so.

Oh yes! It's the best club. And usually my rants are very polite (though my best friend has heard my angry ones, with copious amounts of swear words. Usually to do with some arse on the road or a horrible post I've seen online :') ). I'm enjoying seeing your OCs! It's really cool seeing your cirque de q OCs all coming to life I know what you mean, dA is so hard to break through on, I feel like you need to get people's attention with fanart first and then do original (though that's what I unintentionally did, and it didn't work haha). And I feel that art just looks better on Instagram too? Like you can adjust the contrast and stuff to counteract bad scanning for traditional art and stuff. I like that. I feel like dA sometimes need a bit of a revamp (I know they're slowly changing bits and bobs, but I feel like it needs a big redesign, it looks kind of old to me now. But I guess I still like it that way too, it makes it different from all the other sites )

Glad you like him. He is so much fun as a character.
I haven't written out the story anywhere but it lives in my head, in a messy mumbo jumbo that needs sorting haha (I really should've written it down since I started this idea like 9 years ago. Well done, me, well done).

While I haven't written any of it down, I can tell you about it! So feel free to ask me anything you want to know about it. The premise of it is a group of strange, unorthodox individuals who travel around as a disguised circus. On their travels they pick up "missions" from various peoples while looking for clues for their "boss".
