“Gasp! Charmy, noo!!!” in the middle of her scrap with the other Zubat, she saw her partner fall down the pit!
But just before her opponent could fly close for a bite….she squirted her water-gun into his mouth, making it gulp down more than it could swallow! It became too heavy with water to continue flying and it fluttered to the nearest dry ground, unable to fight.
“Heheh, alright kid, back to Papa you come!” The gleefully smiling Scyther picked up the rejective Torchic, “*Chic-chic*!! Nonono!! You monster! I don’t wanna be saved by you-!!”
Ignoring the youngling’s rejections, Scyther took out his own exploration badge….and it shone with a glittering power, recognising that the holder’s mission was completed.
He and Shelgon were covered in a ray of light from above, the latter snapping out of his confusion as he laid on the spot, “…Wh-huh…?” …and the three Pokemon disappeared from the cave in a flash.
Charmy hit the lake with a splash, deep down the pit, and sunk…
…
…It took him a little while to wake up from the impact and figure out he was now underwater, again, “…CHRbLB-!!” His eyes shot wide as he covered his mouth with his paws.
Another Pokemon was in trouble nearby, too, “Aowowow!! I can’t-!! Ow!” A Finneon was struggling to swim away as a rock - courtesy of Shelgon’s rocky calamity - had landed on one of its tail flukes, trapping it in pain!
Charmy only looked at it for a moment, before breaking into panic and trying to throw his arms at the surface, “Chrbalblrlabrlarlbb!!” His toolbag weighed him down, but even if he thought about letting it go, his lack of swimming expertise would not save him! He just kept thrashing about, with so many air-bubbles exhaled from his mouth…!
…While unknown to anyone, a bigger Pokemon rose from a submerged hill in the shadows of the water.
A mean-looking pink jellyfish Pokemon, Frillish, began to lunge herself through the water at the Charmander…
