Halloween — Description
So here's my goofy tribute to John Carpenter's 1978 movie "Halloween". It's just a pile of different elements from the film that I find interesting, all thrown together in one scene. Yes, I know it doesn't make a lot of sense. Obviously Dr. Loomis never rescued Lynda in the movie. But when I drew Dr. Loomis in that cool action pose, rushing down the front steps of the Myers house with gun drawn, my comic book instincts told me that he needed a damsel in distress hanging on his arm... And that it had to be Lynda (played by PJ Soles in the movie), in her "See anything you like?" scene. I immediately realized how stupid this was but found it so funny that I couldn't bring myself to change it. My apologies to the hardcore Halloween fans for my overall silliness.

Incidentally, of all the victim-girls in "Halloween", I always liked the character of Annie best. So I made her the main girl in the image. Her outfit is something else that won't make much sense unless you are familiar with the film.

Michael Myers is tricky to draw. Because he is wearing that awkward, ill-fitting mask, you basically have to draw his head too big for his body on purpose.

UPDATE: It was not my decision to put a "MATURE CONTENT WARNING" label on this image. On October 19th, 2009 (just in time for Halloween) I was contacted by the Deviant Art staff and told that they had taken it upon themselves to put a MATURE CONTENT WARNING on the image for me. I dunno. That's fine with me, I mean after all it is their website. Personally I never thought this image was that bad. It's got some blood in it and the hint of nudity but no ACTUAL nudity. But I respect Deviant Art's wishes. I guess they don't want all you kiddies who have watched the movie eight thousand times to view my drawing of it. Fair enough. I wish the DA staff had mentioned it to me first and at least allowed me to know about this before just censoring it themselves. That woulda been the polite thing to do. But again, I acknowledge that I am just a guest in their house and want to abide by their rules. I guess my idea of what is "MATURE CONTENT" is just a little more lenient than theirs. Oh well.
