Shell Knight — Description

Another Pelagic Knight of Marcinia from my The Needles setting. This one wears armor made of Ostreum: an alchemical substance similar to shell, but hard as steel (though more difficult to mend), that can be coaxed to grow across a lattice of flexible material, thus creating armor and ornamentation. Unlike steel, Ostreum does not rust or suffer from the effects of moisture, but it is a bit more susceptible to chipping. His shield is made from the operculum of a gigantic mollusk.
