Bit of an Issue... — Description
Ah, yes. Remember poor Tucker, the M.E.R.C.I.N.A.R.Y. engineer who can't help the way his genetics are wired? He's met a childbot named D.E.M.I.!

What's with all the acronyms? If you aren't aware already, most androids are named for their specific purpose or function and usually have a French-based acronym as a result, due to the French province being the first lucky saps to produce an actual android in the midst of this war.

D.E.M.I. stands for Diminutive Engineering Modulated Informant. He's the work of a late B.L.U. Engineer who sorely wanted an android for himself, but couldn't afford one. So, he took pieces of deactivated models and built his own! The pieces were all haphazard and fit together oddly, forming a small, human-child-sized robot who needs constant maintenance because of the conflicting circuitry he possesses. His unlucky Engineer creator was approached by the M.E.R.C.I.N.A.R.I.E.S. to join, refused, resisted, and was killed. There is no middle ground with the M.E.R.C.I.N.A.R.I.E.S. However they did take his little droid with ideas to utilize him for their own purposes. This could mean stripping him down to nothing and using his parts to create other things, but they never got the chance - D.E.M.I. was saved from some soldiers eager for an easy time by Tucker.

And thus begins an awkward relationship of hesitance and hearts! The idea of a child robot scares Tucker, because he's afraid he'll give in to his urges and suffer no consequences because D.E.M.I. isn't technically human. He tries to stay clear of D.E.M.I. most of the time, although can't help finding himself growing a relationship with the little guy. As for D.E.M.I., after he gets his very own E.R. chip, he starts to form a budding crush on Tucker that is fueled by his naturally childlike mentality. Notice I say "childlike;" D.E.M.I.'s positronic brain suffers the cruelty of maturing far beyond what his physical age appears. So even though he can and will "grow up", he never truly will.

Now you might be thinking, "Hey. This means a misunderstood pedophile and a lonely, ownerless android stuck in the proverbial body of a child can be together. This seems perfect! Both their problems are solved so long as it's consensual (keeping in mind the fact this little droid will be more akin to those with dwarfism than simply being a child forever). So what's the issue here?"

The issue here is that poor, poor Tucker is full of angst and self-hate and can't handle this. We're pretty sure that at this point, D.E.M.I. is the only thing keeping Tucker from opting out.

So enjoy this cutesy picture of secrets and skewed intentions! Also gawk unabashedly at Tucker's misshapen legs, to which I fully admit having facked up while drawing. 0.o;;
