The cold stone presses at his back paws, and he can hear Bedlam skittering in the darkness, and if he's honest with himself Zeit is more angry than afraid.

He lets his control snap, lets his rage flare, and with a rushing sound and a burst of heat he notices that Ruin has let himself go too, the flame at his tailtip lacing all the way up to the base of his spine. Ruin is glowing, and Zeit knows he is too, and between the two of them there's barely enough light to see--

But a flash of bony tail draws his gaze sharply to the side, and Zeit can see the glint of Bedlam's eyes glimmering in the shadows, and all is lost to blackness.
