windix — Description
One of my personal gripes is that microsoft neglects to offer realistic features into their products. I am used to running SUSE Linux and I like to carry as much of that experience over to my winbox when practical. I am running Windows Xp Pro without the gui effects (win 95 mode) with the start menu bar situated at the top of my screen hidden by default. As you can see, I have RSS Ticker (knewsticker), winamp (xmms), Putty (remote ssh bash shell logged into a VMS account), Trillian (kopete), Wkrellm (gkrellm port) Gimp 2.0 (gimp port), Mozilla Firefox, Openofficeorg, kceasy (open source P2P client) Windows Xp Powertoy Microsoft Virtual Display Manager (Virtual Desktops), Extra toolbar on bottom of screen emulates the kde kicker panel
