I SHOULD EXPLAIN THIS. um.

so there's a fanmade sequel kinda thingy to Yume Nikki called Yume 2kki (lol so punny) and after seeing some mentionings of it on NicoNico and pixiv and stuff, i decided to check it out

well the experience of trying to get it to work was less than fun. i won't bore ya with the details but i am apparently completely retarded when it comes to RPGMaker games that have no .exe and it didn't help that i was following instructions in japanese that i only had a vague understanding of. and knowing me all the crashing i experienced was probably all my fault for being such a dumdum ξ・∀・）

judging from what little i played, from the video i saw, and from the raw files i poked through, it's not as well made and polished as yume nikki; some of the environments and characters look kinda thrown together and some of the music is grating but since it's a WIP, overall it has potential and some very neat stuff resides there. there's almost 60 effects in all, but only 5 have full sprite sheets so far; one that turns the main character's head into a phone, one that makes her a little fairy, one that gives her a lantern, one that genderswaps her, and one where she wields a chainsaw. CHAINSAW LOLI FUCK YES. so yeah. if you're one of the cool kids with a niconico account you can watch a gameplay vid here: [link] 6:07-6:18 is a particularly nice moment, ahahahaa.

this girl appears as a notebook doodle in the library area inside one of the books you can read (a lot of them are styled in the same way the LSD text interludes are. i lawl'd). when i first saw her i was all 'dawww she could be the next monoko =3'. there was some stuff written in the same page as her but the only word i can really decipher is 'koronda' which i blindly assume means she's brained due to a fall SO I'M TAKIN IT AS THAT OKAY
