The Psionic Woman — Description
The past few weeks had been somewhat peaceful around the city, much to Bethany's relief.
It seemed her actions were starting to have a good impact on the city's crime rate.
Nocturne had become folklore; people referring to the mysterious lady as a silent, invisible guardian protecting them.
This pleased Bethany quite a bit, especially as she’d kept her role as a heroine a closely-guarded secret... until now!

Naturally Nocturne had created a lot of attention and while most of it comprised of crime lords who wanted to put the heroine on ice, it had also peaked the interest of folk who needed someone to inspire them to fight crime too.
Such was the case of May Starr, a fellow worker in Bethany's company who had managed to discover that Nocturne was none other than Bethany Hunter.
While the story of their union is a tale for another time, suffice is it to say that May had become Nocturne's partner-in-crime. She was currently the hot, redhead sidekick known as “Nightshade.”

It was the end of another workday and Bethany was ready to head back home.
Just as she was making her way to the elevator, her new assistant May walked towards her beaming with excitement. Bethany already knew where this was going...

"Bethany, I have great news!" announced May, while holding a digital tablet.

"Let me guess, we have a case to work with?" replied Bethany.

"You got it! I'm finally gonna make my debut as Nightshade!"

"Hold on, maybe it's nothing important at all, so don't get too excited," Beth cautioned.

"Oh you bet it's important! I was checking some databases and it seems that a woman with hypnotic mind-control powers is terrorizing the city, forcing people to do her bidding!" exclaimed May.

"Hmm... that does sound quite strange and intriguing... Very well, it seems we do have work to do, let's see if we can track her down tonight," Bethany Hunter suggested.

"Alright, let's do this!" May couldn't hold her excitement!

Bethany couldn't help but laugh a bit at her sidekick's eagerness and she couldn't help but feel somewhat excited herself as well. It was time to prowl the streets once more!
